CAIRO – 19 October 2020: A number of cultural and artistic events will be held in several creativity centers on October 19, including the opening of Lycee el-Horreya Theater in Alexandria, and “El-Leila El-Kebera” [The Big Night] show at Asmarat Cultural Palace Theater.

 

Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem and Governor of Alexandria Mohamed el-Sharif will open Lycee el-Horreya Theater in Alexandria, after a 3-year hiatus, after completing the replacement and renewal processes for developing it. The opening will kick off at 6 p.m. in the presence of Khaled Galal, head of the Cultural Production Sector; and Ismail Mokhtar, head of the Theater Art House; in addition to a number of officials of the Ministry of Culture.

 

Additionally, the Sharjah Book Authority is organizing a press conference at 8.30 a.m. on ZOOM, to reveal the details of the 39th edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair, which launches under the slogan "The world reads from Sharjah", during the period of November 4 - 14, at the Expo Center Sharjah, with the participation of hundreds of Arab and foreign publishers from around the world.

 

At 6:30 p.m, the play “El-Leila El-Kebera” [The Big Night] will be staged within the activities of the Fourth International Arts Forum for individuals with special needs [Awladna] at the theater of Asmarat Culture Palace in Mokattam, free of charge.

 

Moreover, the Cultural Production Affairs Sector, headed by director Khaled Galal, organizes the monthly Al-Hanager Cultural Forum under the title "Egypt 2020 … Crossing into the Future" at 7:30 p.m. at the Al-Hanager Arts Center at the Cairo Opera House.

 

The National Cinema Center, headed by Mohamed el-Basousi, will resume the Women's Cinema Club, at 6 p.m. in Al-Hanager at the Egyptian Opera House.

 

The Antiquities Museum of the Cultural Communication Sector at the Library of Alexandria, in cooperation with the Center for Islamic Civilization Studies of the Academic Research Sector, announced the renewal of its meetings with scholars and workers in the field of antiquities and those interested in our archaeological heritage in its fifth cultural forum held under the title “The City of Fuwwah and its Archaeological and Cultural Heritage.” The meeting deals with several axes about the city of Fuwwah, which is rich in archaeological and cultural heritage.
