CAIRO – 14 October 2020: On October 14, Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled el-Anani visited the Egyptian Automobile and Touring Club, where he met with members of the elected board of directors to discuss a number of important issues related to the club and its activities.
During the meeting, a number of issues and proposals were discussed to boost the club’s role in stimulating domestic and foreign tourism, and providing social and cultural services, including holding events such as motorcycle races and car rallies.
Additionally, launching a project to establish instructional panels on the Egyptian streets to guide citizens and tourists to archaeological sites and museums was discussed. It was also agreed to set an agenda for the activities of the club.
The presented proposals also included the establishment of a permanent motor racing track, equipping the surrounding area with highly efficient service outlets to provide the necessary services for the race contestants, and establishing a museum for antique cars owned by club members.
At the end of the meeting, the club’s chairman presented the club’s shield to the Egyptian Minister of Tourism & Antiquities Khaled el-Anani.
