CAIRO - 8 October 2020: The book "Umm Kulthum in Abu Dhabi" issued by the National Archives ranked first in the list of best sellers on Amazon in the Middle East. The book contains accurate documented information about the UAE's national and cultural history.
"Umm Kulthum in Abu Dhabi" was written by Mohammad al-Murr, vice chairman of the National Archives, who worked on documenting aspects of the career of the founding leader Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan - and his role in spreading culture, shedding light on an important page of our modern cultural history, according to WM24.
“Umm Kulthum in Abu Dhabi” is one of dozens of books issued by the National Archives and is concerned with documenting aspects of the career of the founding leader Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan. It has been admired by researchers, scholars and specialists in the history and heritage of the Arabian Peninsula in general and the Emirates in particular.
This prompted the book "Qasr Al Hosn: The History of the Rulers of Abu Dhabi 1793-1966" to be at the top of Amazon's book sales about three months ago.
"Umm Kulthum in Abu Dhabi" reviews the journey of the late legend of Arab singing "Umm Kulthum" from Cairo to Abu Dhabi, to perform two concerts. The many pictures included in the book recount the reception and singing of "Umm Kulthum" in Abu Dhabi, her meeting with Sheikh Zayed, and her tour at the Abu Dhabi Corniche.
