CAIRO – 29 September 2020: The first season of “The Voice Senior” program will launch on October 7 after postponements of more than ten months, due to the events that Lebanon has gone through.

On the program’s official page, the following comment was written: “For the first time in the Arab world, talents over 60 are on The Voice Senior. Be on time starting October 7.”

The audience is accustomed to viewing the programs “The Voice” and “The Voice Kids” on Saturdays, but the matter will be different with “The Voice Senior”, which is scheduled to broadcast on Wednesday of every week.

It is noteworthy that “The Voice Senior” is a competition program to discover singing talents over 60 years old. Veteran Egyptian artist and Head of Egypt’s Musicians Syndicate Hany Shaker, artist Melhem Zain, Moroccan singer Samira Said and Lebanese singer Najwa Karam be jury members.

Filming the program’s episodes has already started at the beginning of 2020; however, airing was postponed numerous times because of the unrest in Lebanon.

Each coach has a team of four competitors; only two of them are qualified for the final stage, where each contestant sings a single song, all the way to the last episode that ends with crowning the winner of the first season’s title of the program.
