CAIRO – 27 September 2020: Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem is following up on the final preparations for re-opening the Ismailia Culture Palace during Egypt's celebrations of the anniversary of the glorious October victories. The palace closed down 8 months ago for development and upgrading operations.

 

Abdel Dayem said that the modernization of the cultural sites and facilities comes out of eagerness to maintain the creative movement as an effective means for raising awareness.

 

The development work included a comprehensive replacement and upgrade of the central air conditioning system; civil protection and firefighting system; indoor theater ceiling and exterior surface, seats and floors; stage hall lighting; in-hall services; theater foyer; the lighting system, sound and stage equipment; cinema screen; and the renewal of the theater curtains. This is in addition to the carrying out the necessary maintenance work for the entrance panel of the theater.
