CAIRO – 9 September 2020: The Bibliotheca Alexandrina Media and Communication Sector published the third issue of the "Media Window", under the title “Creation of Digital Knowledge”.
It is an informational publication that aims to introduce the most important activities of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and to shed light on the most prominent events, seminars and publications of the library.
“The world has changed and will not return to what it was before COVID-19 knew its way to the universe,” said Director of the B.A Mostafa el-Feki, pointing out that cultural services will be available online, as many cultural institutions sought to provide their online services due to the novel virus.
Feki stressed that the changes currently taking place in Egypt are a great service for the country's future, turning it into the digital state the government has been striving for over the recent years.
The 48-page window includes a set of files that focus on the most important axes that the Library of Alexandria undertook in its digital activities and during the peak of the COVID-19 epidemic.
The media window sheds light on the creativity of the digital development sought by the library, and the digital communication between the library’s various sectors and its audience. This is in addition to the outlook provided by the library’s centers and administrations via YouTube to spread the scientific and cultural library services on electronic platforms amid thee COVID-19 crisis.
