CAIRO – 7 September 2020: The Central Upper Egypt region opened a book sales outlet affiliated to the General Authority for Culture Palaces, located in the Sana'a Culture House in the New Valley Governorate.

This comes within the Ministry of Culture’s plan to disseminate knowledge and raise awareness, spread the culture of reading in Egypt’s governorates and achieve the principle of cultural justice.

Writer Mohamed Nabil, head of the Central Upper Egypt cultural region, said in a statement that the villages of the New Valley are experiencing real competition in establishing book sales outlets.

Nabil further stated that the book genres vary between literature, arts, social and human sciences and scientific encyclopedias, in addition to a magazine published by the authority.

It is noteworthy that many outlets have also been opened in various villages of the New Valley governorate, including in Teneida, Balat, Al-Jadeeda, Al-Rashedah, Al-Maasara Culture House, Nasser Al-Thawra, Sana'a, Bulaq Culture, and East Bulaq.

He explained that this comes within the framework of the directives of Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem to achieve the principle of cultural justice in all governorates.

The village of Sana’a is the ninth village to inaugurate a book sales outlet for the people of the New Valley governorate since the return of cultural activity to the region of Central Upper Egypt.
