Sout Masr orchestra to perform in Cairo Opera's Fountain Theater on Sept. 3

CAIRO – 1 September 2020: The Sout Masr Orchestra [The Sound of Egypt), led by Maestro Ahmed Atef, will host artist Hanan Madi in a concert that will be held on September 3 at 8 p.m. at the Fountain Theater of the Cairo Opera House, with the participation of Samer Barakat (Qanoon), Wael el-Naggar (accordion) and Alaa Saber (Oud).

The concert’s program includes a selection of famous theme songs. Madi will also perform a selection of her works that she presented to a number of famous television series.

It is noteworthy that the orchestra is the first to have been founded by violinist and composer Ahmed Atef, with the aim of shedding light on theme music in a simple way that suits the taste of the Egyptian audience.
