‘Daughters of Abdulrahman’ receives Sound Design Award at Amman International Film Festival

CAIRO - 28 August 2020: Film project Daughters of Abdulrahman, by director Zaid Abu Hamdan and producer Saba Mubarak, has been announced recipient of the Sound Design award at the Arab film projects in post-production within Amman Film Industry Days, held on the sidelines of the Amman International Film Festival- Awal, Jordan.  Presented byAcoustic Film Sound in Estonia, the award is worth USD 17,500 of sound design and re-cording mix services. 

 

Previously, Daughters of Abdulrahman received two awards presented by the Arab Radio and Television Network (ART) and Rotana Group at the CineGounaSpringBoard, held within the CineGouna Platform. Each award is worth $10,000.

The film also received a grant from Doha Film Institute, Tribeca Film Institute, and the Jordan Film Fund (JFF) (Production Category) offered by The Royal Film Commission Jordan - RFC.

Daughters of Adbulrahman is a dark comedy that tells the story of four estranged and offbeat sisters who are forced to come together to find their suddenly-missing father.

Directed and written by Zaid Abu Hamdan, the film stars Saba Mubarak, who is also the executive producer, Farah Bsaiso, and Dana Dajani. Daughters of Adbulrahman is co-produced by Pan East Media (Aya Wuhoush and Saba Mubarak)Lagoonie Film Production, MAD Solutions, and Arab Media Network. The film is distributed in the Arab world by MAD Solutions and Film Clinic Indie Distribution.
