CAIRO – 24 August 2020: Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem decided to increase the value of the prizes of The Golden Voice competition and turn it into a national cultural project to discover and refine promising talents from the governorates of Egypt.

This will be made possible through a cooperation protocol between the Cultural Development Fund, the Egyptian Opera House and the General Authority for Cultural Palaces. Abdel Dayem said that the protocol is an embodiment of integration between the sectors of the ministry in a way that achieves the public benefit.

She added that transforming the competition into a national project highlights the strategy for achieving cultural justice, noting that Egypt is rich in creative talents, which are considered one of the means of preserving the national identity.

It is worth noting that The Golden Voice competition was founded by Mohsen Farouk, and launched by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture represented by the Development Fund sector.

It aims to discover and nurture talented young people in the field of singing up to the age of 30 years.
