CAIRO – 28 July 2020: Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem accompanied by President of the Academy of Arts Ashraf Zaki, his deputy Ghada Gbara and Deputy Governor of Giza for community service affairs Hind Abdel Halim visited a number of the academy's new projects, including the new building of the High Institute of Cinema, the libraries of the academy, the Heritage and Folklore Museum and the School of Arts.
Abdel Dayem stated that the academy is witnessing an integrated development process at the structural and educational levels, confirming that the ministry fully supports the necessary modernization processes.
She explained that the new building of the High Institute of Cinema was equipped with the latest technology in preparation for receiving students in the new academic year, as it is regarded as one of the most important film institutes in the world alongside the School of Arts, which is the largest in the Middle East.
Additionally, new places are being prepared for operation at the Academy’s Wall, such as libraries and sales outlets for the Ministry of Culture's publications, as well as the Arts Bridge that connects the academic buildings, according to the minister.
This is in addition to the Museum of Heritage and Folklore, which includes models and figures of Egyptian folklore that expresses the unique Egyptian identity. Also, a study is being implemented to invest in open spaces to provide services for students, including sports fields and gyms.
