CAIRO - 19 July 2020: Megastar Mohamed Ramadan is the first Egyptian artist to receive the diamond creator award from YouTube.

Previously, Ramadan appeared on the world’s most famous landmark, Times Square, New York City, to promote his latest song "TikTok".

"TikTok" which also features American Rapper and DJ Super Sako achieved booming success in New York and the Arab world.

It is also worth mentioning that

Egypt’s court has sentenced Egyptian megastar Mohamed Ramadan to one year in prison on charges of slandering Egyptian suspended pilot Ashraf Abul Yousr, who lost his job after Ramadan posted a video showing him inside a jet cockpit.

The Misdemeanor Dokki Court ordered Ramadan to pay a bail of LE10,000 and an extra LE20,000 in fine.

This crisis started when the suspended pilot Ashraf AbulYousr appeared in a video in the cockpit with Mohamed Ramadan while the latter was going to Riyadh to perform a concert. The incident caused Abul Yousr to be suspended from his work.

The suspended pilot previously stated to the media that the type of plane he was flying with Ramadan was a private plane, and not the typical commercial plane that accommodates over 200 passengers.

He went on to explain that in a private plane there are no boundaries between the pilot and the passenger.

The suspended captain further clarified that Ramadan asked his permission to enter the cockpit and take a photo with him to later show it to his son.

The captain agreed under the condition of him (Ramadan) not touching any of the cockpit’s control buttons or equipment.

The captain was later shocked to find out the picture was actually a video that went viral on social media, uploaded with a song in the background.

The captain referred to his knowledge that allowing someone inside the cockpit is illegal and totally forbidden under the international regulations of aviation, but he said that this was a usual thing that often occurs in private jets.

This is why the captain agreed to letting Ramadan takethis photo, after promising that the picture will only be for personal use.

Abul Yousr added that Ramadan did not ask about him, or do anything to fix his problem after the video resulted in his suspension for life, despite having promised him to use his connections to solve the whole problem while they were flying back to Egypt from KSA.

During a phone call to “Al-Hekaya” program on MBC Masr, Ramadan announced that he feels upset for what happened to the captain.

Ramadan explained that he tried to help the captain but the situation is out of his hands as this matter is solely in the hands of the Aviation Authority.

The Egyptian megastar apologized to the captain during the phone call and said he is willing to do anything to compensate him for his loss.

Ramadan also pointed out that the captain was aware that the video will be posted on social media platforms
