CAIRO – 22 June 2020: Famed star Tamer Hosni expressed his happiness with the re- screening of the film “El-Feloos” [The Money] in the Saudi cinemas after a four-month lockdown due to the preventive measures taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

This decision was taken upon the request of the fans who were not satisfied with the period of its screening at the beginning of the year, demanding the return of the film to the cinemas.

“Thank you. As an Egyptian artist, I am proud of the dear love I receive from the heart of my second country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Certainly, I am honored by the respectful cooperation that we have always shared. Many thanks to the great Saudi people,” Hosni said on his Instagram account.

The Saudi Audiovisual Media Authority announced on June 21 the return of film screenings in cinemas in the Kingdom, while emphasizing the need to follow the precautionary and preventive measures to limit the spread of the novel virus.

The authority demanded that all operators of cinemas in Saudi Arabia need to adhere to the precautions and preventive measures contained in its guide for the return of cinema activity, according to what was published in the Saudi newspaper, Okaz.

The authority stipulated that cinemas in the Kingdom should place floor stickers or clear signs of parking spaces to ensure maintaining the required social distance of no less than 1.5-2 meters in waiting areas such as entrances, ticket windows, cafeterias, or toilets.

Additionally, each individual will be surrounded by two empty seats from all directions to ensure social distancing, and a safe distance will be maintained between staff members and clients.
