CAIRO – 17 June 2020: The Supreme Council of Culture holds its 64th meeting specialized for voting for the 2019 State Award winners, chaired by Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem. The meeting will be held on June 20 at 12 p.m. at the Grand Theater in the Egyptian Opera House.
Through the next lines, ET publishes the names of the candidates for the Nile Award for Egyptian and Arab Creators, which were nominated by the examination committees.
Nominees for the Nile Award in Arts include George Abdul-Masih Bishay al-Bahjoury and Lenin Fathi Abdullah Fikry el-Ramly. Nominees for the Nile Award for Literature are Mohammed Salmawi and Ahmed Ali Morsy, while nominees for the Nile Award for Social Sciences include Gouda Abdel-Khaleq el-Sayed Mohamed Metwally, and Mohammad Hamid Ibrahim Dowidar.
Additionally, nominees for the Nile Award for Arab Creators are Mohammed Omar Khalil, Fathi el-Triki.
Also, attending the meeting will be limited to the 36 members of the council who are entitled to vote to choose the State Award winners.
The Ministry of Culture has taken all the necessary precautionary measures, including the sterilization and preventive measures, as well as taking into account social distancing with regard to organizing the seating of the council members.
