“Treasures of our Art Museums 4” - ET
CAIRO – 18 June 2020: Egypt’s Ministry of Culture has provided many online cultural services and content that anyone can attain from home, in an effort to counter the COVID-19 epidemic.
Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem therefore launched the e-initiative “Stay At Home. Culture Is Between Your Hands” and presented a large number of virtual tours at art galleries and plastic art museums.
Among the presented exhibitions is “Memory of the East” exhibition. This art exhibition includes art works of a large group of international artists, including the Fatima painting by Dominic Angar, the Motherhood painting by Bebe Martin, The Nile painting by Eugene Fromentin, The Shadow Board Game by Tudor Frere, among others.
Also, the exhibition came as a continuation of a group of artistic exhibitions adopted by the Arts Complex in Aisha Fahmy Palace since its reopening.
A series of exhibitions named "Treasures of our Art Museums 4" presents a rare collection of the most important masterpieces of orientalism, shedding light on an important historical period.
The ministry’s cultural portal contains rare cultural content and aims to reach 100 million Egyptian intellectuals, spread Egyptian culture and raise its stature in the world.
In addition, the portal works to facilitate the services provided by the ministry through its offices in various governorates by allowing citizens to apply for these services and obtain the necessary licenses electronically.
