Latifa, only Arab star to participate in Cannes Film Festival’s online charity event

CAIRO - 1 June 2020: Famed Tunisian star Latifa will be the only Arab star to attend the Cannes Film Festival's online charity evening.

The selection was made by Caroline Schouffle, the owner of the Chopard Jewelry house, for the annual charity event held on the sidelines of the festival.

Schouffle chose Latifa to participate alongside a number of international stars in the charitable evening this year.

The ceremony will take place online from the Chopard house in Switzerland under the title "Cannes comes home."

Among the attendees are Julio Iglesias, Lionel Richie, in addition to several world actors. The global celebration's revenues will go to the Swiss Red Cross on June 6.
