Halle Berry re-launching her website

CAIRO – 22 June 2017: Academy-award winning American actress Halle Berry is relaunching her lifestyle website to stop all the fake stories published about her and to share her life with her fans. She released the news on Tuesday at a Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity panel.

In 2000 the actress created the fan site to connect her one on one with the fans. However, after four years she shut it down because it became too hard to manage.

According to entertainment TV Canada, Halle Berry knew back in 2000 that the future for celebrities would be connecting with their fans on more conversational and relatable level.

Berry is relaunching her website and it will include fashion, beauty, home and parenting advice. Berry told ET Canada that she called it “an inclusive world of curation” that will include host discussions for her fans.

Berry promised that her website will be very cinematic and it will feature short films giving the fans an insight into her life, plus short films she directed about issues close to her heart, as mentioned in Kval website.

Barry pointed out that social media “can be a brand killer.” She said that “people actually have the power to affect your brand in this day and age,” adding that it is frustrating how little control she has over that.

Therefore, her site will be a way for her to connect with her fans “face-to-face.”
