CAIRO - 23 April 2020: The Egyptian National Library and Archives organizes the Ramadan Competition for the year 1441 AH, under the patronage of Egyptian Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem.

The Children's Literature Documentation and Research Center holds a religious-cultural competition for the third consecutive year for children from 9 to 12 years of age titled “A Question Everyday” running from Ramadan 1-27.

On the aforementioned days, a question is posted on the Children's Literature Documentation and Research Center's official Facebook account. The children can answer the question by clicking on the URL located below the question via Google Drive. The first to answer a question correctly is the winner of the day.

The winners will be announced on Ramadan 29. The prizes include children’s toys and book collections. Children living outside Cairo will be sent the prize through the mail.

It is worth noting that the Egyptian National Library and Archives also prepared a collection of historical documents on the procedures that were followed in Egypt during the month of Ramadan and documents on the vision of the crescent, along with another file entitled “Ramadan Periodicals” that includes a number of press releases that on various topics on the holy month.

The minister of culture stressed the importance of completing the digital transformation of all sectors, to continue to spread the enlightening message of the Egyptian culture, despite the emergency conditions the country is currently undergoing.

Abdel Dayem added that to celebrate the month of Ramadan, a digital agenda was prepared to be broadcast on the official channel of the Ministry of Culture on YouTube and its other official accounts on the various social media platforms.
