CAIRO - 7 April 2020: After the success of his first online concert, Egyptian star Ali el-Haggar is set to perform his second online concert on April 10, where he is expected to present numerous surprises to his fans.
During the past days, a number of singers performed several online concerts to encourage citizens to stay at home to combat the novel coronavirus spread, including Mai Kassab, Ramy Ayash, Tamer Ashour, Ahmed Gamal and others.
In a different context, Haggar received in 2019 the Eighth Sultan Qaboos Prize for Culture, Arts and Literature, which is dedicated from the Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center in Oman. The award was presented to him by Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Harrasi, president of the Radio and Television Authority in Oman.
Haggar is the first Egyptian artist to win that award, which is presented by the Sultanate of Oman annually in the fields of arts and literature.
Haggar’s latest album is “Matakhdy Balek” (Pay Attention) released in 2019. The album consisted of 12 songs, including “Wemen Fena Mesh Mehtag?”, “Gaylek”, “Lesa el-Sheta”, among others.
