CAIRO - 7 April 2020: On the evening of April 6, the second international conference of the Academy of Arts, "African Art, a Symbol of Human Creativity" was held online, under the title “African Women, Icons of the Dark Continent".
This conference is the first artistic conference to be held online, to help fight the novel coronavirus by committing to social distancing.
Head of the Acting Professions Syndicate and Head of the Academy of Arts Ashraf Zaki said that Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem agreed to hold the conference online in support of the academic role of art, and in support of the distance learning methods.

Conference president and vice president of the Academy of Arts Ghada Jbara added that the Academy of Arts has kept pace with the current circumstances, so that its role can still be found despite the ongoing crises. It is an artistic and academic role that brings experts and specialists to the Egyptian square in the African continent.

Iman Mahran stated that the schedule set for the 68 accepted scientific research papers were judged by professors specialized in the respective fields of each paper. The conference was keen to present all specialized artistic activities.
It is worth mentioning that Sudan will be the guest of honor of the handcraft exhibition, and Morocco will be the guest of honor of the program bringing the traditional dishes of the various countries of the world.
As for the defelier, it will broadcast exclusively from Algeria, designed by Amal Nahariya.
“I will present my experience in a documentary film about the most important plastic artists,” said Mahran.
The ceremony is directed by Tamer Yahya, and a Tunisian show by artist Hoda Omar, all through the attached program.
