CAIRO - 25 February 2020: The administration of the Arts Complex (Aisha Fahmy Palace) in Zamalek has announced postponing Farouk Hosny’s exhibition, which was scheduled to open on Feb. 26. The new inaugural date will be announced later.

Artist and former Minister of Culture Farouk Hosny uploaded a picture of himself and late President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak on his official social media accounts, and commented, “Mourning with great grief and sorrow the heroic late President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak. He was an icon of loyalty, patriotism and honesty.”

Farouk Hosny is one of the most important contemporary plastic artists in Egypt and the Arab world. His works have been exhibited in international museums, including the Metropolitan Museum in New York, the Carousel Louvre in Paris, Tokyo Museum of Art in Japan, Houston Museum of Art (USA), Fort Lauderdale Museum (USA), Vienna National Museum in Austria, Vittoriano Museum in Rome, in addition to significant art museums in the Arab world including Lebanon, UAE and Bahrain, besides numerous galleries and private halls around the world.
