CAIRO - 25 December 2019: President of the Academy of Arts and Syndicate of Theatrical Professions Ashraf Zaki, announced that the Academy will celebrate on Dec. 26, 150 years since the opening of the Suez Canal; the most important Nautical course in the world.
In celebrations, an exhibition entitled "The Suez Canal: Past - Present - Future" will be held. The exhibition comes under the auspices of the Egyptian Culture Minister, Inas Abdel Dayem, and will be attended by Osama Rabie, head of the Suez Canal Authority. The exhibition will run from Dec. 26 - Jan. 9.
It is worth noting that the Syndicate of Theatrical Professions -headed by Ashraf Zaki- honors the great artist Hassan Hosni for his rich artistic career, on Al-Nahar Theater on Dec. 25.
The two stars Ahmed Helmy and Mohamed Saad are supposed to attend, as they will be granting the honorary shield to the veteran actor Hosni within the activities of the fourth edition of the Theatrical Professions Syndicate Festival.
The Theatrical Professions Syndicate Festival is also presided by Ashraf Zaki and managed by director Sameh Basiouny. Ten theatrical performances will be participating within the festival’s activities.
The judging committee is chaired by Sameh Mahran, former president of the Academy of Arts, and the membership of Ahmed Shafik, Mohamed Suleiman Abdel-Malik, Hala Fakher, Sobhi el-Sayed, Mazen el-Gharabawy, Mohamed Morsi, Mostafa Fikry and Marcos Adel.
