Luxor Painting Symposium’s closing ceremony to be held Dec. 19

CAIRO - 19 December 2019: The Cultural Development Fund is organizing the closing ceremony of Luxor International Painting Symposium’s 12th edition on Dec. 19 in the presence of the symposium’s supreme committee and the participating artists.

The supreme committee of the symposium, in cooperation with Luxor Governorate, will honor plastic artist Ahmed Nawar in recognition of his contributions to the Egyptian plastic arts.

The ceremony will be attended by nine plastic artists from Egypt and nine others from Arab and European countries.

Luxor International Painting Symposium is one of the most prominent plastic arts events in the Arab region. Its supreme committee is headed by Head of the Cultural Development Fund Sector Fathy Abdel Wahab and includes Head of the Fine Arts Syndicate Hamdy Abul Maati, Head of the Fine Arts Sector Khaled Sorour, Emad Abu Zeid, Adel Tharwat, Gehane Fayez, Amal Nasr, Saleh Abdel Moty and Ibrahim el-Desouki as members.
