Amman festival to organize AFID

CAIRO - 2 December 2019: Amman International Film Festival - Awal Film (AIFF) announced that it will be organizing the Amman Film Industry Days (AFID) during the festival.

AFID will take place between April 15 and April 17, 2020 and will offer a platform for pitching projects in development by Jordanian and Arab resident filmmakers. This is in addition to projects in the post-production stage by Arab filmmakers.

AFID, an incubator that supports artistic and creative development, will also host master classes with renowned directors and film stars, and will hold seminars and discussions with producers, financiers and distributors.

The Film Industry Days revolves around contemporary topics and issues in Arab and international cinema and aims to act as a networking hub for Jordanian, regional and international industry professionals.

Selected participants for AFID will be able to pitch their film projects in front of industry professionals; the best project pitches will be awarded assistance to either develop their films or bring them to completion.

Applications to the Pitching Platforms are open now, and registration for AFID will open in February 2020.

The first edition of Amman International Film Festival - Awal Film will run from April 13-18, 2020.
