Egypt participates in World Tolerance Summit with 'Christianity of Egypt'

CAIRO - 10 November 2019: Egypt participates with a documentary film produced by Saint Films in the activities of the World Tolerance Summit in Dubai on Nov. 13-14.

Director Mohamed Khairy -representing Saint Films- will present the filmmaking experience of the documentary “Christianity of Egypt”. It is the first documentary to illustrate the history of Christian communities in Egypt and its influential role in the Egyptian society. Khairy will also speak about the role of Islam, the media and filmmaking in highlighting the values of tolerance, diversity and peace, and fight misleading news.

It is worth mentioning that the first part of the film “Christianity of Egypt” screened in several international festivals such as in the Netherlands and Beirut, winning several local and international awards.

This also comes in the year of tolerance in the UAE, where Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, president of the United Arab Emirates, declared 2019 in the UAE the "Year of Tolerance", thus establishing the UAE as the global capital of tolerance.
