Nadine Abdel Ghaffar - Founder of Art D'Egypte
CAIRO - 30 October 2019: Nadine Abdel Ghaffar, Founder of Art D` Egypte Foundation stated during a press conference that the “Reimagined Narratives” exhibition launched on Oct. 17 comes with the 40th anniversary of UNESCO's selection of Al-Moez Street as one of the most important heritage sites in the world.
The exhibition also coincides with the 1500th anniversary of establishing the city of Cairo. “Reimagined Narratives” exhibition is scheduled to resume until Nov. 9 .
قالت نادين عبد الغفار، مؤسسة "آرت دي إيجيبت"، إن معرض "سرديات معاد تخيلها"،الذي افتتح يوم 17 اكتوبر و يستمر حتى 9 نوفمبر القادم ، يأتي مع الذكري 40 لاختيار اليونسكو لشارع المعز كأحد أهم مواقع التراث في العالم، كما يتزامن مع ذكري مرور 1500 عام علي إنشاء القاهرة.

For his part, Assistant Minister of Antiquities for Artistic Affairs Ahmed Obaid expressed his gratitude to Art D’Egypte for their great interest in civil society institutions. Obaid further clarified that on the sidelines of the current exhibition, artistic training programs will be organized for those interested in heritage and arts.

Furthermore, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the American University stressed that the exhibition is located in a historical site, which made it difficult for artists to choose artworks that can be displayed in a place such as Al-Moez Street, without interfering in the historical vibe the landmark holds.
Art D'Egypte aims to provide contemporary Egyptian artists with a unique platform to showcase their manifested visions amidst the enriching Egyptian heritage. The event will exhibit the breath-taking art works of 28 contemporary artists.
