Panorama of the European Film Festival - Social Media
CAIRO - 27 October 2019: The organizing committee of the Panorama of the European Film revealed the films participating in the activities of the 12th edition, which begins on November 6.
The 12th edition will resume until Nov. 16, and will be held in Zawya Cinema in downtown Cairo, Zamalek cinema and a number of film theaters in various Egyptian governorates.
The panorama’s program includes the screening of more than 75 feature, documentary and short films from more than 30 countries.
This edition consists of eight categories: Feature films, Rising Directors, Documentaries, Here and There: Movies Without Limits, Agnes Varda Cinema, Film Symbols, Children and Family films and the Special Screenings Section.
The feature films section includes 18 films. Also, 18 directors are participating in the Rising Directors section. In addition, the documentaries section includes 14 films and the Special Screenings Section includes participating films.
It is noteworthy that the Panorama of the European Film was established in 2004, and is usually held over the course of 11 days, showcasing the latest award-winning European feature, documentary and short films, in addition to the classics of European cinema. It also includes discussions, lectures and workshops. The festival is supported by the European Union in cooperation with EUNIC.
