Mohamed Sobhi currently preparing for two theatrical plays

CAIRO - 21 October 2019: Renowned actor Mohamed Sobhy is currently undergoing intensive rehearsals on two comedy plays, which he will soon perform at his theater in Sama Sonbul.

The first play is titled “El Nahla wel-Daboor” (The Bee and the Hornet) by Ayman Fatiha and starring Samah al-Saeed, Abdul Rahim Hassan, Hazem Al-Qadi, Abeer Farouk and Mirna Zekri.

The second play is titled “Ayla etamalaha block” (A family put on block) written by Mustafa Shohaib and starring Abdul Rahim Hassan, Nada Maher, Mirna Zekri, Hazem al-Kady, Mustafa Yusuf, Ammar Shamma in addition to other members of Mohamed Sobhi’s Theater Group.

It is noteworthy that the prominent actor will soon celebrate the Golden Jubilee for establishing his theater group "Studio el-Momasel" (Actor Studio). It has been 50 years since its first performance in 1969.

During the celebration, all those who graduated from Mohamed Sobhi’s Theater School in all acting categories will be honored, whether they are alive or deceased, under the title "Mohamed Sobhy .. 50 Years of Theater.”

The honoring ceremony will include scenes of the plays that were presented during the theatrical group’s acting career, which reached 28 plays, performed by legendary theatrical actors, including Mahmoud el-Meligy, Tawfiq al-Duqen, Jamil Rateb, Suad Nasr, Mahmoud al-Qalawi, Shaaban Hussein, Khalil Morsi, Mamdouh Wafi and others.
