CAIRO - 6 October 2019: Head of the Theater House Ismail Mokhtar stated that the house will celebrate the glorious victory of October war on Oct. 6 through staging several theatrical performances.
The Theater House will present numerous theatrical performances, special celebrations and concerts on the occasion of the anniversary of the October victory. All performances will be free of charge in Cairo, Alexandria, Fayoum and South Sinai. The celebrations will also include the screening of "Know Your Army", which was produced in collaboration with DMC.
Mokhtar added that the Theater House will present on October 6 “Youm el-Nasr” (Victory Day) celebration produced by the Alexandria Theate. It is a celebration specially dedicated to the anniversary of the glorious October victory this year. The celebration is written by Mohamed Mostafa and directed by Islam Abdel Shafiee and will be staged on Bairam el-Tunsy Theater in Alexandria at 8 p.m.
El-Saha Theatrical Group will present the play “Seheina ya Sina” at 8 p.m. in Prince Taz Palace in Sayeda Zainab. The play is written by Khamis Ezz el-Arab and directed by Essam al-Shuweikh. Furthermore, the Sun Theatrical Group –with the aim of integrating individuals with special needs- will present numerous musical performances at 8 p.m. at the International Garden’s Theater in Nasr City.
The Modern Theater Group will present its play “Amr Taklif” (Mandate) written by Issa Gamal and directed by Bassem Kenawy at the Fayoum Culture Palace at 8 p.m. This is in addition to the play “Welad el Balad” written by Mostafa Selim and directed by Mohammed el-Sharkawy in Sharm el-Sheikh Cultural Palace at 12 p.m.
On October 10,11, 12, Al-Talea Theater Group will perform the play "Kaenak Tarah" written by Nesma Samir and directed by Maher Mahmoud at Al-Jazeera Youth Center at 8 p.m. The National Theater for Children will perform “Obor wa Entisar” (Crossing and Victory) written and directed by Mohamed el-Khouly at El-Salam Theater in Kasr el-Ainy Street starting Saturday, October 12 at 7 p.m.
