CAIRO – 29 September 2019: Acclaimed Egyptian archaeologist and former Minister of Antiquities Zahi Hawass gave American action star Steven Seagal his book "Secrets from the Sand" during their meeting on September 28.
During his meeting with Hawass, Seagal expressed his great love for King Akhenaten and for the ancient Egyptian civilization in general.
The famed American actor asked Hawass to invite him to watch Tutankhamun Opera which will be displayed at the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
On Saturday morning, Seagal toured the Pyramids Plateau along with his wife.
Seagal came to Egypt on Friday to attend the third edition of El Gouna Film Festival. He described the Pyramids as "the human miracle."
It is worth mentioning that Hawass announced that one of the most important scenes in Tutankhamun Opera revolves around Nefertiti's attempt to kill Tutankhamun and snatch the throne for one of her six daughters.
Composed by Zamboni, the opera's score will be completed this December, according to Hawass.
