Abdel Halim Nouira Ensemble to perform in Gomhoriya Theater on Sept. 27

CAIRO - 26 September 2019: Abdel Halim Nouira’s band of Arabic music, led by Maestro Ahmed Amer, will perform at 8 pm on Friday (Sept. 27) at the Gomhoria Theater.

The concert’s program includes a selection of iconic Arab music compositions, including; “Ana el-Masry”, “Aho Da Eli Sar”, “El-Shaitan” for Sayed Darwish, “Ge Qalbi Gharam” for Abdel Azim, Mohammed, “Habibi Waheshni” for Mohammed el-Mougy, among others.

It is noteworthy that Abdel Halim Nouira’s band was founded in 1967, under the leadership of Maestro Abdel Halim Nouira. The band was performing under the name the Arab Music Ensemble, aiming to revive the authentic singing heritage in Egypt.

The band presents traditional musical forms and musical templates targeting enthusiasts of authentic Arabic music.

It also provided an opportunity for contemporary composers to present their fine production of traditional musical templates.
