Sharjah International Book Fair to launch on Oct. 30

CAIRO - 19 September 2019: The Sharjah Book Authority announced the launch of the 38th edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair under the slogan "Open a book, open minds", during the period from October 30 to November 9.

The book fair will be held at the Expo Center in Sharjah, with the participation of selected writers, novelists and artists from around the world.

Regarding the launch of the 38th edition of the book fair, the President of the Sharjah Book Authority said: “Sharjah's cultural journey culminated in the title of the “Book Capital of the World of 2019”, which was the result of the efforts of many cultural institutions and organizations that placed Sharjah in a leading position on the map of cultural and creative action in the Arab world and globally.”

“This special edition of the book fair was devoted to a complete set of cultural and creative events led by a group of writers, intellectuals and novelists from around the world who came to participate in this event, which has become a milestone in the history of the UAE and Arab culture alike.” continued the President of the Sharjah Book Authority.

The Sharjah International Book Fair is the third largest book fair in the world.
