Hagag nominated for Best African Artist in AFRIMA awards

CAIRO - 9 September 2019: Mostafa Hagag enters a fierce competition on the level of the African continent for the title of the best African artist in North Africa for his song “Khatwa”.

The song won the admiration of a large segment inside and outside Egypt and achieved millions of views on social media in a short time span.

“Khatwa” is written and composed by Aziz el Shafei and distributed by Galal el Hamdaoui. It is one of the most-liked songs of his new album entitled “Hat Zahzah”; in which Hagag cooperated with a large number of poets, distributors and composers.

Hagag is the third Egyptian star to be nominated for the award after Tamer Hosni and Hamada Hilal.

The awards are scheduled to be distributed two months from now, specifically in November of 2019.

All Africa Music Awards is an annual awards event. The awards event was established by the International Committee AFRIMA, in collaboration with the African Union to reward and celebrate musical works, talents and creativity around the African continent while promoting the African cultural heritage.
