CAIRO – 8 September 2019: Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Egypt Yoon Yeocheol and famed Egyptian director Khaled Galal, head of the Cultural Production Sector, will inaugurate the Korean Movie Nights on September 15 at Cairo Opera House's Hanager Cinema at 7 p.m.
Director of the Korean Culture Center in Cairo Yang Sang Keun emphasized the importance of the movie screenings in promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Egypt and Korea.
Yang added that the Korean Culture Center in Cairo has a year-round program of film screenings at its premises in Dokki, noting that these screenings helped the Korean culture fans in Egypt to closely experience the Korean culture and discover the Korean lifestyle.
The K-Movie Nights present a new set of different types of movies.
The shows will run over three nights from Sunday, September 15th to Tuesday, September 17. The films which include "Little Forest", "Detective K: Secret of the Virtuous Widow" and "Assassination" will be displayed with Arabic subtitles.
The K-Movie Nights will include as well two screenings at Misr Public Library in Port Said, where "Little Forest" will be displayed on September 18 and "Tunnel" will be displayed on September 19.
