'Alma de Cuerdas' to perform at Opera marking Mexican Independence Day

CAIRO - 8 September 2019: In the mark of the 209th celebration of the Mexican Independence Day on the 16th of September 2019, the ensemble Alma de Cuerdas (Spirit of the strings) will perform at the Small Hall at the Cairo Opera House.

The talented group formed by 7 musicians, merged popular music with classic rhythms giving their concerts a special character that allowed them to perform in international festivals like: United States, China and now for the first time in Egypt.

This group was formed in 2015 in the southwestern state of Mexico, Oaxaca and since then they have made a solid prestige status despite their young age.

This concert is sponsored by the Embassy of Mexico in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture in Egypt. It is a joint expression of solidarity and cooperation between Mexico and Egypt.
