CAIRO - 3 September 2019: Bibliotheca Alexandrina will hold the International Symposium to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the departure of Leonardo da Vinci titled "World Heritage" on Sept. 4.
This coincides with the global celebrations of this historical figure, which contributed a lot in many areas of science and arts.
An exhibition on the work of Da Vinci in science will be held on the sidelines of the symposium, including images of the collection of the National Museum of Science and Technology of Italy.
Leonardo da Vinci is one of the pioneering artists of the Italian Renaissance era, known for his wonderful works such as "The Last Supper" and "Mona Lisa". He worked as a painter, sculptor, architect, inventor and military engineer, which dubbed him the “Renaissance man”. He studied the laws of science and nature, and gave a leading light to the Italian Renaissance.
