Numerous cultural, artistic events to be held on Aug. 18

CAIRO - 18 August 2019: Several cultural and artistic events will be held on August 18 at a number of cultural institutions and centers.

The Ministry of Culture is set to launch the 28th edition of Salah el Din Citadel Festival for Music and Singing. The event will be held in cooperation with the Ministry of Antiquities. Its activities include 42 different events starting at 7 p.m.

The eighth edition of the Sakia Book Exhibition, which runs until Saturday, August 24, will be held at Al-Nahr Hall. This edition includes a collection of surprises for all book enthusiasts, writers and authors. For the first time, the exhibition’s program includes signing ceremonies and concerts within its activities.

At 4 p.m., Talaat Harb Cultural Center of the Cultural Development Fund Sector is organizing a workshop entitled "Let's Play Theater" with artist Suha Kaheel.

At 7 p.m., the Heliopolis Children's Library organizes a seminar to discuss common diseases between humans and animals and their transmission from humans to animals and vice versa.
