Haj exhibition in Manial Palace and Museum on August 8

CAIRO - 6 August 2019: On August 8, the Manial Palace Museum will hold a temporary exhibition entitled "Ya Rayehin Lelnabi el Ghaly", as part of the activities organized by the museum sector in the Ministry of Antiquities in celebrations of Eid al Adha.

Director General of the Manial Palace Museum Walaa Badawi clarified that the exhibition includes two ancient pieces that were used as a cover for the “Kaaba”, a historical script and rare Quran prints, in addition to displaying the most rare acquisitions belonging to Prince Mohammed Ali Tawfiq and the precious archaeological collections acquired through his long enriching life, along with two rare pictures of the prince while he is wearing the “ehram” and performing the Hag (Muslim pilgrimage) rituals.

Furthermore, the history of the Kaaba will be presented in the modern era to the visitors of the museum, explaining the role of Dar al-Kaswa and the patterns and colors of the holy Kaaba over the ages.
