CAIRO - 10 August 2019: Eid el Adha will witness a fierce competition between a number of strong movies and a notable group of stars. The key word of this season is (part 2), since we have El Feel-el Azra’a part 2, El Kenz part 2 and Welad Rezk part 2.
1-“Khayal Ma’ata”
After 11 years of their last cooperation, mega stars Ahmed Helmy and MennaShalaby reunite in “Khayal Ma’ata” (Scarecrow) which is set to be released in Eid al-Adha. “Khayal Maata”, starring beside Helmy and Shalaby, Khaled el Sawy, Hassan Hosni, Entisar, LotfiLabib among others. The film is written by Abdel Rahim Kamal and directed by Khaled Marei.
The film's name has been changed from “El-Shebak el-Azraq” (Blue window) to “Khayal Maata”. The film's events take place in the 1960s, and focus on a decorator named Zizo, a paranoid man who suspects everyone around him.
The events begin with the character of Helmi, an old man who lives in the new millennium, narrating his story and his memories as a young man, and the sufferings he encountered. Helmi also tells the story of how he met his love, Pakinam, revealing the methods he used to marry his beloved.
Tamer Hosny is set to present the theme song of the film which is written by Ayman Bahgat Amar.
It is worth mentioning that Helmy's latest film, "Laf we Dawaran" (Beating around the Bush ), which starred Donia Samir Ghanem, Jamila Awad, Sabreen and InaamSalousa, achieved great success at the time of its release. “Laf we Dawaran” is directed by Khaled Marei.
In 2007, Helmi and Shalaby cooperated in the successful film “Keda Reda”, which starred Khaled el-Sawy and was directed by Ahmed Nader Galal.
The stars also cooperated in 2008 in “Asif Ala el-Eza’ag” (Sorry for the inconvenience) with Dalal Abdel Aziz and Mahmoud Hemeida.
2-“Welad Rezk’’ ( Rezk Sons) part two
The film stars Ahmed Ezz, Amr Youssef, Ahmed Dawood, Ahmed el Fishawi, Mohammed Mamdouh, and Karim Qasim. It is written by Salah al Jehini, and directed by Tarek el Erian and produced by Raw Production Company.
"The Return of the Monsters” is the slogan raised by director Tarek al-Arian in the first days of filming "Welad Rizk” part 2.
The first part of the movie was released in 2014 and achieved great success. The film revolves around a group of brothers who walk in the path of crime when one failed operation erupt the differences between them.
Each of the five brothers has special characteristics, but the mastermind on whom they mainly rely is Ahmed Ezz. In Part 2 the four brothers are trying in various ways to preserve their covenant to completely repent and quit the crime path, but all of a sudden something will happen that will change their lives completely, introduces them into new worlds and put them in very serious confrontations with a number of professional criminals.
“Awlad Rizk P II” is starring Ahmed Ezz, Amr Youssef, Ahmed el-Fishawy and Ahmed Daoud, with Khaled el-Sawy and Bassem Samra joining the cast.
3- El Feel el Azraa (Blue Elephant) part two
The Egyptian movie "El Feel-el Azra’a" (The Blue Elephant Part 2) was released before Eid el-Adha achieved booming success, generating revenues reached to about L.E 50 million.
The much anticipated film promo achieved more than 9 million views. The film is the production of Synergy.
People interacted much with the promo describing it with the dazzling one. Famed Egyptian actor Karim Abdel Aziz appeared in the promo fighting with Egyptian star Nelly Karim, the matter that stirred the audience curiosity and eagerness to watch the movie.
The "Blue Elephant " part 2 brings together a large number of stars and guests of honor, including ZaferAbdeen, among others. The film is also an investment for the success of the first part, which achieved great revenues at the time of its release in 2014.
The second part of the "Blue Elephant" features the same cast of the first part, led by director Marwan Hamed and author Ahmed Mourad.
The film is starring Karim Abdel Aziz and Nelly Karim. Tunisian actress HendSabry, and AsmaSherifMounir,also joined the cast. Jordanian star EyadNassar participates as a guest of honor playing a significant role.
The first part of the film tells the story of Dr.Yehia, who returns after 5 years of elective isolation to work at Abbasiya mental health hospital in the section that observes the mental health of criminals.
Yehia -Karim Abde Aziz- ends up meeting an old friend who carries a very dark past which he tries hard to forget. Yehia encounters numerous surprises that turn his life over, changing his efforts to find the truth about his friend into a journey of discovering himself.
Part 2 features the crew members who contributed to the success of the first part : DOP Ahmad Al Morsy, editor Ahmed Hafez, costume designer Nahed Nasrallah, music composer HeshamNazih and production designer Mohamed Attia.

"El-Feel el-Azraa" is one of the highest-grossing Egyptian films in the last 10 years. The film grossed more than LE 35 million during Eid Al Adha season in 2014, achieving wide acclaim.
"El-Feel el-Azraa" received a rating of 8.6 on IMDb with more than 21,000 votes by users, making it the highest rated Arabic film on IMDb. The film is still one of the most watched films on TV and VOD platforms.
Director Marwan Hamed adapted writer Ahmed Mourad's best-selling book of the same name that was released in 2012. The novel was shortlisted for the International Prize for Arabic Fiction (IPAF) in 2014.
The events of the film’s second part begin five years after the events of the first part, where Dr.Yehia married Lobna and is summoned to the Department of Dangerous Cases.
5- El Tayeb w El Shares w El Laoub (The kind, the Fierce and the Playful)
The movie takes place in the 1970s, revolving around three retired actors who decide to make a comeback with a movie about space creatures.
It stars Mai Kassab, Ahmed Fathy, Bayoumi Fouad, Mohamed Salam, among others, written by Rafaat Reda and directed by Ramy Rezkallah.
6- Enta Habiby w Bas (You Are My Only Lover)
The musical movie, produced by Ahmed El Sobky, stars famed Sha’aby singers Mahmoud el Leithy and Bosy, along with Mohamed Tharwat, Hala Fakher, Nermin Maher, Ahmed Halawa, Mohamed Mahmoud, among others. It is directed by Ahmed El Badry.
7- El Kenz (The Treasure) Part 2
Part 1 spans the Pharaonic, Abbasid, Ottoman and modern day periods, ending in the 1970s. It revolves around corruption, portraying religious figures using their authority as means to gain political power.
Part 2 continues with Hatshepsut’s tales in the Pharaonic era and Ali el Zabaq’s storiy in the Ottoman era, while police officer Beshr el Katateny faces new challenges as he continues his search for the treasure.
The movie is directed by the veteran Sherif Arafa, and gathers a dazzling cast of Egyptian superstars such as Mohamed Ramadan, Ruby, Sawsan Badr, Mohy Ismail, Mohamed Saad, Hend Sabry and Ahmed Rezk.
After 80 days in Egyptian cinemas, the first part made LE19 million ($1.1 million).
