Global Music Awards grants Ibrahim Shamil Silver Medal Award

CAIRO - 28 July 2019: Musician Ibrahim Shamil was awarded the Silver Medal bythe American Global Music Award, for composing the soundtrack of the series “La MusikaFelAhmadi” (No Music in Ahmadi) that screened in Ramadan 2019.

The organization holds an annual competition through its digital platform, with nearly 1.2 million followers to choose the best music from about 100 countries. Shamil expressed his happiness with the award, saying “It is surely a great honor to win this award as it carries numerous meanings, the most important of which that young musicians are able to present works and melodies that can achieve international successes and awards."

He pointed out that the soundtrack of the series “La MusikaFelAhmadi” was inspired by the events of the dramatic work that tells the history of the city of Ahmadi. Shamil added that besides the award, the digital platform will display the winning works for its followers so that theyget toacquainted withdifferent musical colors from around the world. It is noteworthy that Shamil composed the soundtrack for many Egyptian, Kuwaiti, and Emirati films and series.
