Culture minister opens Naguib Mahfouz museum

CAIRO, 15 July 2019: Minister of Culture Enas Abdel Dayem on Sunday inaugurated a museum and a center named after Egyptian Noble laureate Naguib Mahfouz in the capital Cairo.

She opened the museum on behalf of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli in the presence of Antiquities Minister Khaled Anany and writers, among others.

Mahfouz's daughter Om Kolthom was also present at the opening ceremonies.

The minister praised the construction of the two-storey museum to honor the iconic Egyptian writer and shed light on his great history and works
