CAIRO - 29 June 2019:Veteran Egyptian star Mohamed Henedy will make a new stand-up comedy show entitled 'Henedy Live,' which will be staged in a number of acclaimed theaters in 20 different countries.
Henedy live will last for 6 months. ''Henedy live will kick off on Beacon Theatre at New York's Madison Square Garden on September 22, waiting for you all'' Henedy stated on his instagram account.
In a press conference that took place few days ago Henedy announced that this will be his first stand-up comedy, and that he wanted to do this step few years because theatre is his ultimate passion.
After New York Henedy will go on to tours in Canada, Australia, Europe and Asia, in addition to an Arab tour that starts with Saudi Arabia and moves to the UAE and Kuwait in late October.
Henedy expressed his happiness to meet the Arab crowd all over the world.
Egyptian actress Nada Moussa and Lebanese musician and singer Chadi Nachef will accompany Henedy in this tour.
The successful play "Talat Ayam Fe el Sahel" (Three Days in North Coast) started its shows on Saudi Arabia on June 26 and will continue to June 29.
The Saudi Ambassador in Egypt Osama el Nokaly previously attended Egyptian play "Talat Ayam Fe el Sahel, expressing his admiration with the play.
After a 16-year hiatus, comedy star Henedy returns to the theatre and competes with his new play "Talat Ayam Fe el Sahel."
The first show of the play was on January 10, 2019.
"Talat Ayam Fe el Sahel" houses notable cast: Ahmed Fathy, Nada Moussa, Mohamed Sarwat, Maha Abou Ouf, Bayoumi Fouad, Samia el Taraboulsi among others.The show is written by Hatem Hussein and directed by Magdy el-Hawary.
Henedy’s last play was named "Tarae’eo", was directed by Samir el-Asfoury and was written by Nabeel Ameen. Stars Ala’a Morsy, Hanan Turk and Ghada Abdel Razek participated alongside Henedy in the play.
"Tarae’eo" revolved around the obstacles Egyptians may face in their daily lives. The main idea of the play was portrayed in a comic way supported by several dances.
Fares, a young man from Upper Egypt and the main character of the play, was sent to Cairo by his parents to pursue a successful academic career.
Unfortunately, Fares faced numerous obstacles that disabled him from reaching his main goal.
