Hakim: 'Metgamaeen' will surprise the entire world

CAIRO - 20 June 2019: A few hours separate the world from the launching of the African Cup of Nations 2019, hosted on the land of Egypt.

The launching ceremony will kick off on June 21 at 8 p.m. The opening match will be between Egypt and Zimbabwe at 10 p.m.

Famed Egyptian folk singer Hakim will be one of the stars singing in the opening ceremony. The star uploaded a video on his official Instagram commenting: “Wait for me on Friday in the opening ceremony of the AFCON. We will make an astounding opening celebration; the whole world will be speaking about it.”

The acclaimed singer also uploaded a picture on his official account exposing part of the launching ceremony’s rehearsals, stating “We are together, part of the preparations.”

“Metgamaeen” (We are together) is the name of the launching song. It is produced by Synergy Productions, written by Mohie, composed by Sherif Hemdan and distributed by Tarek Abdel Jabber.

The video clip of the song was directed by Yasser Samy, using high filming techniques.
