CAIRO - 20 June 2019: June 19 marks the death anniversary of famed late actress Amal Farid, who was characterized by her unique tenderness, beauty and classy attire. Producers and actors at the time were eager to give her leading roles because of those special qualities.

Hekayet Gawaz (A marriage story) (1964)
Amal Farid portrayed in this film the character of Mona, Adila's loyal friend, who loves her and supports her no matter what. At the same time, Mona falls in love with Hassan, Adila’s brother, whom she desperately waited for to come to propose to her, after her best friend got married. Eventually, Mona married her beloved Hassan.
"Hekayet Gawaaz" is starring Souad Hosny, Shokri Sarhan, Hassan Youssef, Amal Farid, Amina Rizk, Mary Mounib, Hassan Fayek and Aziza Helmy. It is written by Mohamed Osman, and Wahid Farid and directed by Hassan el-Seifi
Shayateen el-Gaw (The devils of love) (1956)
In this film, Amal Farid plays the role of Samira, who is loved by an Air Force officer. Due to his work as an officer in the army taking part in the Arab-Israeli war, her dream of getting married to him becomes a difficult mission. Samira desperately waited for her lover to finally return victorious from the battlefield.
"Shayateen el-Gaw" is starring Ahmad Ramzi, Amal Farid, Shukri Sarhan, Abdel Moneim Ibrahim, Abdulsalam Nabulsi, Munira Sonbol, Said Abu Bakr, Abdul Ghani al-Najdi, among others. It is directed by Niyazi Mostafa and written by Wagih Abaza.
Seraa’ Maa’ el-Haya (Struggling with life) (1957)
In this film, Amal Farid played the character of Laila, who is deeply in love with Dr. Magdy. Magdy is extremely struggling in life due to losing his beloved mother and his father remarrying another woman, who betrays him, leading the father commit a murder.
The film stars Ahmad Ramzi, Amal Farid, Hind Rustam, Mahmoud el-Meligy, Suheir el-Babli, Aziza Helmy and is written and directed by Zuhair Bakir.
