Cairo International Biennale returns after 8-year halt

CAIRO - 4 June 2019: The Fine Arts Sector organizes the thirteenth edition of the Cairo International Biennale, entitled "Towards the East". The Biennial is the first after a halt of 8 years.

Eighty artists representing 50 countries will participate in the upcoming Cairo International Biennial. The artistic works of the festival will be hosted in the Palace of Arts, Aisha Fahmy Palace, the Museum of Modern Egyptian Art and the Zamalek Art Complex from June 10 to August 10. The Biennale is back after 8 years of hiatus and comes as part of serious efforts to bring back stalled international events, which confirms Egypt's cultural role and leadership.
