CAIRO - 6 May 2019: On the occasion of Africa Day, the Egyptian Cultural Center in Paris will hold a puppet show at the UNESCO headquarters on May 25 at 7:30 p.m.
The show comes within the framework of the joint activities of the Egyptian-French Cultural Year, which runs from January until the end of the year.
It is noteworthy that the puppets is an old form of Egyptian theater which uses puppets in conveying messages to the audience in a comical or sometimes direct way.
This very famous art has been included on Egypt’s list of intangible human heritage that needs urgent protection in 2018.
Africa Day is the annual commemoration of the foundation of the Organization of African Unity on May 25, 1963. It is celebrated in various countries on the African continent and around the world.
