“Baghdadi Big Band” to celebrate International Jazz Day on April 30

CAIRO - 28 April 2019: Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem agreed to accept UNESCO's invitation to celebrate of the International Day of Jazz

For this purpose Cairo Opera House, headed by Magdy Saber will organize a concert for “Baghdadi Big Band” led by Maestro Magdy Baghdadi on Tuesday, April 30 on the open theater.

The concert’s program includes a collection of world famous jazz compositions. The celebration aims to raise awareness of the benefits of jazz as an educational tool and a means of cooperation and dialogue among nations, as well as creating communication channels between different cultures and artistic innovation, in addition to highlighting new forms of expression by integrating traditional and modern music.
