Media,culture pioneers to be honored in Hanager Cinema on April 17

CAIRO - 17 April 2019: The distinguished production department of the specialized channels sector in Maspero will hold a special ceremony to honor a number of media and culture pioneers on April 17 at Hanager Cinema at 6 p.m.

Veteran TV presenter Salma al-Shamma, director of photography Mohsen Ahmed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information Samir Talaat, director Samiha Ghonaimi, President of the Cultural Development Fund Fathi Abdel Wahab and President of the Egyptian Opera House Magdy Saber will be among the honorees.

A special tribute shield will be presented to Egyptologist and former Minister of Antiquities Zahi Hawass. The ceremony will be attended by Osama Bahnasi, head of the specialized channels sector and Adel Abbasawy, head of the Central Administration for Distinguished Production.

After the honoring ceremony, a special screening of "Centria, an Endless Legend” directedby Salwa al-Khadem will take place.
