CAIRO - 8 April 2019: Damanhur Opera House will host two workshops for the Ranranja Dance Academy of Sri Lanka and Sunal of Indian Arts on April 8 as part of the seventh Damanhur International Festival of Folklore.
The Sri Lankan and Indian groups will present a number of tabloids that express the artistic heritage of the two countries. The show will be held at 7 p.m. at the Damanhur Opera Theater.
The Sri Lankan and Indian shows will be followed by another performance by Al Sharqiya Folklore Group, which presents traditional folklore performances reflecting many customs and traditions of Egypt's Delta.
The activities of the seventh edition of the Damanhur International Festival of Folklore will run until April 11, extending for the first time to the governorates of Cairo and Alexandria with the participation of 26 bands from 13 Arab and foreign countries.
The participating countries are: Egypt, Sudan, Algeria, Lebanon, Palestine, Greece, Georgia, Turkmenistan, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and India.
