CAIRO – 7 April 2019: Egyptian rising star Yasmine Ali will perform at Cairo University on April 10. Ali is an Egyptian singer who was born in Cairo in 1990.
She is originally an opera singer who is best known for her performances with Cairo Opera House.
Her parents noticed her singing talent at the age of 4 and she trained at the Freedom Culture Palace.
She received Ahmed Zewail Award for Artistic Creativity in 2006. Ali is an actress in veteran theatrical actor Mohamed Sobhy’s troupe.
Ali participated in one of the parts of "Youmeyat Waniss" (Waniss Diaries) with Sobhy. Her repertoire include a number of successful songs such as "El-Hekaya" (The Story), "La Takhony" (Don’t betray me), and "Betethawel" (You Transform) among others.
Ali performed a number of successful songs in Cairo Opera House and ElSawy Cultural Wheel where she used to sing veteran singers' oldies like Abdel Halim Hafez and Sayed Darwish's songs.
